My name is Amy. I live in San Diego, California, and I'm a lifelong solid middle-of-the-pack distance runner. I'm on a mission to bring back the runner's wave, one "hi" at a time.
By day I'm the education manager of a non-profit organization that supports individuals affected by Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. I hold a joint Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Health, and care deeply about the physical, emotional, financial, and societal toll of these diseases. I hope to change the course of the dementia pandemic through my work, volunteerism, civic engagement, and yes, through running.
I love telling stories, and sharing the joys of my sport with people who run - and even with people who don't. We all have something to learn.
